- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I took my dachshund in because I thought he could possibly have kennel cough. He walked into the clinic and aside from an OCCASIONAL cough, he was fine. Dr. Lukey recommended x rays. They placed my DACHSHUND on his back and restrained him in that position (with him struggling) for the x rays and when they were done he was limping. This was a week ago. My baby can't even walk anymore & unless he is on A LOT of pain medication, he YELPS and cries constantly. I just can't believe I took him in for an occasional cough & now he's like this. Taking him there was a HUGE mistake I will regret for the rest of my life. My baby has given up and my heart is broken.July 01, 2017by Michelle Britton
